Ronald A. Johnson honors God’s work in Badger Church’s history and remains excited about God’s ability to do yet greater things in the life of the Badger Church and its people. His vibrant personality and dynamic delivery help create an energetic and inspirational worship experience. Crediting his new life in Christ for all of his joys, he encourages all at Badger to seek a closer relationship with Jesus Christ and a healthy curiosity for the Word of God. He has a wonderfully infectious love for all of God’s people.
Pastor Ron left a diplomatic career with the U.S. Department of State to accept the privilege of God’s call to vocational ministry. Previously, he held positions at the Central Intelligence Agency and in the U.S. Air Force.
Born and raised in Lufkin, Texas, Pastor Ron received his Master of Divinity degree from the Boston University School of Theology. He is a Ph.D. student in American history at Purdue University, researching religion and diplomacy. He holds a master’s degree in American foreign policy from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Texas State University. He was licensed to minister and ordained at the Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church in Lufkin.
Pastor Ron is married to Colette Dyer Johnson of Waxahachie, Texas, and is the father of daughter Soleil and son Ronald Jr.
